Membership of the Church

Believers become communicant members of the church - i.e. they are received into the fellowship of the Lord’s Table - either by Profession of Faith or by means of a Certificate of Transfer from the church where they already have membership.

In the case of those wishing to become communicant members for the first time, a period of instruction in the basic beliefs of the Christian Church would precede their taking the Vows of Church Membership before the congregation at the Preparatory Service, which is held on the Friday prior to Communion.

Those wishing to transfer their membership should write to their former Minister or Session Clerk, requesting that a Certificate of Transfer be sent to their new address.
